    Supervisor: General Manager

    POSITION SUMMARY
    As the Controller of TraVek Remodeling and Roofing, you will oversee all financial activities, reporting, and analysis to ensure the company's financial health and compliance. You will be responsible for managing accounting operations, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management. You will also be responsible for managing in house payroll and the company's 401k plan. Additionally, you will provide strategic financial guidance to senior management to support decision-making and business growth objectives.

    COMPETENCIES
    Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal management and external stakeholders; Analyze financial data, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate business performance and identify areas for improvement; Provide meaningful insights and actionable recommendations to senior management to drive business growth and profitability.

    Accounting Operations: Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting; Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations; Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance metrics to assess the company's financial position and make recommendations for improvement.

    Payroll Management: Oversee the payroll process for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate processing of wages, bonuses, and benefits. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations. Manage employee deductions, including health insurance premiums, retirement contributions (e.g., 401(k) plan), and other voluntary and involuntary deductions. Administer and maintain accurate records for payroll taxes, garnishments, and other deductions, ensuring timely payments to relevant authorities and institutions.

    401(k) Plan Administration: Oversee the company’s 401(k) plan, ensuring compliance with ERISA and other applicable laws. Coordinate employee enrollment, contribution changes, and plan audits. Ensure proper employee deductions for 401(k) contributions and match, and work with third-party administrators to ensure timely and accurate fund transfers.

    Audit and Compliance: Coordinate annual audits, reviews, and examinations with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders; Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and contractual obligations.
    Cash Flow and Treasury Management: Oversee cash flow management, ensuring there is adequate working capital to meet operational needs. Manage the company’s banking relationships, credit facilities, and ensure compliance with loan covenants. Prepare cash flow projections.

    Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to develop comprehensive operating and capital budgets; Prepare financial forecasts, variance analyses, and financial models to support strategic planning, decision-making, and resource allocation; Identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiencies to optimize financial results.

    Tax Planning and Compliance: Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns, filings, and compliance requirements; Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax efficiency.

    Risk Management: Assess financial risks, exposures, and opportunities and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities; Implement insurance coverage, risk management policies, and contingency plans to protect the company's assets and interests.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
    Execute and excel in key performance metrics to include minimum level of performance per TraVek Magnitude of Impact scale, measuring: EOM closeout by 15th, manager accountability to core values at 100%, adhere to non-negotiables

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
    Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in the construction, remodeling, or roofing industry.
    Strong knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, and financial reporting requirements.
    Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Google suite; experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage,) is a plus.
    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
