Von started his career in the Home Improvement industry as a roofing helper. He then joined the United States Military and enjoyed a wide variety of experiences there that helped him become who he is today. After the Military, Von went back into the Home Improvement industry as a painting helper and has been fortunate to be able to work in a variety of positions. He has taken some leadership courses that have helped contribute to his success and led him to his current role.
Von initially started with TraVek Remodeling & Roofing in 2001 when the company was started, and then had a few years' break when he moved abroad. He started back with the company again full-time in September of 2010 and has been with the company ever since.
His position as President of TraVek Remodeling & Roofing includes being responsible for the overall strategic planning and direction of the company, establishing systems within the company and ensuring that all aspects of the business are functioning successfully so that the company can continue to provide a wonderful work environment for its employees, provide wonderful products and services for our clients, and maintain profits for the shareholders.
Von enjoys the everyday challenges that he is faced with regularly. He finds it rewarding to be able to employ all of the fantastic employees that are a part of the TraVek Remodeling & Roofing team, working diligently to complete all of the projects that our clients have entrusted us to do.

JD brings over 25 years of experience in construction, sales, and sales leadership to his role as General Manager at TraVek Remodeling & Roofing. His career spans residential construction, real estate, mortgage banking, and executive sales leadership, giving him a well-rounded understanding of both the operational and customer-facing sides of the industry. JD is a licensed Arizona Realtor and licensed home inspector, with a strong foundation in building science, market dynamics, and client service.
JD joined TraVek Remodeling & Roofing in December of 2025, drawn to the company’s culture and core values, which closely align with his own. He was excited to become part of an organization that values integrity, accountability, and teamwork while maintaining a strong focus on growth and excellence.
In his role as General Manager, JD is responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving strategic initiatives, supporting department leadership, and ensuring the company continues to scale in a thoughtful and sustainable way. He brings a results-driven mindset with a strong emphasis on people development, process improvement, and delivering a high-quality experience for both clients and employees.
Throughout his career, JD has led high-performing teams and successfully grown organizations across multiple industries. David’s career in the construction industry began in his home country of Australia, where he completed a 4-year Apprenticeship in carpentry and then worked as a Journeyman building custom homes from start to finish, as well as a wide range of other remodeling projects.
In 2008, he met a lovely girl from Arizona, Courtney, whom he married in 2010. After spending their first three years of marriage in Australia, they moved to Arizona to be closer to Courtney’s family. They now have two boys and are enjoying life here.
David began working for TraVek Remodeling & Roofing at the beginning of 2015 as a Lead Carpenter. His passion for remodeling and the overall construction process led him to his current position as Production Manager. His day-to-day tasks include calculating the costs of all incoming remodeling projects, arranging the scheduling of the projects, and performing quality control checks to ensure that each remodel is completed according to company standards.
David enjoys spending time with his family and participating in a wide variety of sports, including golf, basketball, and Australian Rules football.

Alex received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona in Communications and Spanish. Alex is fluent in Spanish and Serbo-Croatian and is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management.
Before joining the TraVek Remodeling & Roofing team, Alex was the Corporate Recruiter for Kitchell Contractors, where she was responsible for staffing Kitchell’s companies throughout the US. Alex contributed to Kitchell’s ability to attract top talent for its various companies, as it relates to various HR administrative functions. Alex assisted multiple college recruiting champions in streamlining the Kitchell Contractors Internship Academy, worked with Kitchell’s General Superintendent to develop an available labor pool for field operations, as well as played an integral part in improving the onboarding process for all Kitchell companies. Alex started her career with the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale, where she was responsible for staffing the entire resort. Her experience in recruitment, retention, process improvement, and human resources administration adds tremendous value to the TraVek Remodeling & Roofing operation.
Alex is an avid golfer and passionate about the sport. When not on the golf course, you can find her at home with her family, cooking/baking, completing crosswords, and spending weekends up in Christopher Creek.

With over a decade of experience in business accounting and operations—most of it within the construction industry—Liz brings both precision and passion to her role as Controller at TraVek Remodeling & Roofing. Originally from San Rafael, California, Liz’s background includes working with one of the Bay Area’s largest engineering contractors, where she handled certified payroll weekly and gained extensive knowledge in union pension and benefits reporting, workers' comp audits, and wage compliance. She also served as Controller for a residential builder, further deepening her expertise in construction finance.
Liz was drawn to TraVek Remodeling & Roofing by its close-knit, family-oriented culture. She appreciates being part of a team where collaboration and integrity drive the day-to-day work.
Outside the office, Liz is an adventure-seeker and fitness enthusiast. She enjoys working out, scuba diving, and skydiving whenever she gets the chance. She shares life with her beloved dog Ziggy, her boyfriend, her sister, and her adorable niece, who holds a special place in her heart.
When Susan moved to the Valley, she intended to go to nursing school, but she got involved in Small Business America and has never looked back!
In addition to working with TraVek Remodeling & Roofing’s Marketing, Susan also spends a fair amount of time working with their software company, Profit Finder Pro Software. She currently teaches a course for NARI for remodeling contractors across the nation, helping them to set up their business and tracking systems, and showing them ways to keep a pulse on what’s going on in their businesses.
In her spare time, Susan enjoys playing the piano, making jewelry, reading, fishing, paddleboarding, hiking, studying languages, and doing things with friends and family. She is a published author of 4 books, but the one that has sold many hundreds of copies is Squeaky Cheese: The Ultimate Guide to Making Finnish Leipajuusto. She has traveled the world extensively and loves to learn about new people and cultures. Most of her travels take her back to be with family and friends in Minnesota several times a year, but her next foreign travels will take her to Italy, Finland, and Croatia.

Lorenia comes to TraVek Remodeling & Roofing with a background in receptionist and administrative duties at an automotive repair shop.
She joined because she wanted to gain more experience and grow. Also, she has a love for home remodeling, so it’s a chance to learn more about and work in the industry. After starting as our Office Coordinator, Lorenia quickly showed her ability to learn and grow,and has since been promoted to Accounting Assistant. She is always excited and willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
In her spare time, Lorenia enjoys spending time with her husband and target shooting. She is married to a wonderful man and, although they do not have children yet, they have kittens who take the place of children at this time.
Ken has worked in the roofing industry for most of his career, starting off in sales, then working his way into roofing operations and production. Ken brings a wealth of experience from his entire career in the roofing industry. His expertise and dedication ensure our projects are completed with precision and efficiency.
In his free time, Ken loves to spend time with his wife and family outdoors, either camping or hiking, and travelling.
Thundarr Briggs brings strong hands-on leadership and field expertise to his role as Roofing Superintendent at TraVek Remodeling & Roofing. With a background as a Project Manager at Avoda Roofing, Thundarr has extensive experience overseeing roofing projects, coordinating crews, and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. His certifications include OSHA 30, Forklift Training and Operation, and CPR, providing him with a solid foundation in jobsite safety, compliance, and operational best practices.
Thundarr joined TraVek Remodeling & Roofing in February of 2026, motivated by the opportunity for long-term career growth and alignment with a company that values professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement. He was drawn to TraVek’s commitment to quality workmanship and its focus on building strong teams in the field.
In his role as Roofing Superintendent, Thundarr is responsible for overseeing daily roofing operations, supporting production teams, ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld, and helping drive efficiency across jobsites. He takes a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to leadership and is known for maintaining clear communication between crews, management, and customers.

Craig began his career in the construction and building industry in manufactured home sales and management, where he quickly developed a strong foundation in customer service, sales leadership, and project coordination.
Over the years, Craig advanced into senior sales and executive roles, gaining extensive experience in construction management, business development, and large-scale project delivery. His background includes leading proposal teams, negotiating contracts, managing complex projects, and working closely with owners, subcontractors, and end users across a wide range of construction environments.
Throughout his career, Craig has held leadership positions in sales and marketing as well as business development for construction and roofing organizations, with a particular emphasis on residential, education, municipal, and commercial projects. His experience includes overseeing projects from early design strategy through final completion, maintaining responsibility for budgets, schedules, quality control, and subcontractor performance. Craig has also specialized in architectural metal roofing, surveying and pricing residential remodel and replacement roofs while supporting the expansion of commercial roofing opportunities.
Craig joined TraVek Remodeling & Roofing in December of 2025 as part of what he fondly describes as his “last big fling before retirement.” In his role as a Roofing Sales Rep, he brings decades of industry knowledge, proven leadership, and a consultative sales approach that supports homeowners in selecting the right roofing solutions for their needs.

Nicholas started his professional journey working in fast-paced retail operations, fulfilling online orders at Fry’s during the COVID-19 pandemic. This experience taught him the importance of efficiency, attention to detail, and working under pressure—skills that would prove valuable in his transition to the construction industry.
Nicholas joined TraVek Remodeling & Roofing in October of 2019, drawn to the company as a family-oriented business with a strong reputation in the roofing industry. He quickly advanced to his current role as Foam Roofing Foreman, where he is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on foam roofing projects, ensuring quality workmanship, and mentoring team members. Matteus joined TraVek Remodeling & Roofing in December of 2025 as a Foam Roofing Assistant, eager to put his foot in the door and build a long-term career in the industry. He was drawn to TraVek for the opportunities for growth and the chance to learn from an established, reputable company.
In his role, Matteus supports the foam roofing team by assisting with day-to-day operations and learning the skills necessary to grow within the trade.

Cheyanne started her career in office administration and customer service, where she quickly developed a strong foundation in organization, communication, and financial coordination. She went on to work in the roofing industry as an Office Manager in Washington State, gaining extensive hands-on experience supporting day-to-day operations, managing schedules, coordinating payroll and billing, and serving as a primary point of contact for customers and vendors. Along the way, Cheyanne took accounting classes that further strengthened her attention to detail and understanding of business operations, helping prepare her for continued growth in the industry.
Cheyanne joined TraVek Remodeling & Roofing in January of 2026 as the Front Desk Coordinator. She was drawn to TraVek because of its strong reputation and positive company culture, and she saw it as an opportunity to get her foot in the door of the roofing industry in Arizona while continuing to build on her administrative and operational experience.
In her role as Front Desk Coordinator, Cheyanne plays an important part in supporting daily office operations. She is responsible for managing incoming calls, directing inquiries appropriately, assisting with scheduling, and helping ensure that communication between customers, field teams, and the office runs smoothly. Her background in office management and roofing operations allows her to provide knowledgeable, efficient support while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence.

Catherine Akins is a remodeling designer with a background that blends art, design, and residential renovation. She holds an MFA in Curatorial Practice from the Maryland Institute College of Art and is a NARI Certified Remodeling Designer. With experience as a design consultant, project coordinator, and purchasing coordinator, Catherine brings a thoughtful, design-forward and collaborative approach to each project.
She is currently renovating her home in Tempe with her partner, two kids, and two dogs, keeping her closely attuned to how design works in real life. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, golfing, and hopes to one day join the community orchestra.
Beyond the workplace, Catherine plays the viola with a dream of joining the community orchestra. Catherine values family, being an auntie to six nieces and nephews.
Don has been a kitchen & bath design professional in Arizona, assisting the community with their remodeling design needs. He has a background in property and casualty insurance, as well as working in merchandising and shop installation.
Along with home remodeling design experience, Don is a certified Yoga instructor, loves to cook, and goes to the gym. He also loves spending time with his golden retriever. As a Tempe native, Don knows the Valley well and enjoys serving its residents with their remodeling needs.

With over 20 years of experience in design and sales, Eric specializes in creating stunning kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home remodels. His deep understanding of remodeling design and his client-focused approach ensure that every project reflects the homeowner's unique vision and needs.
Eric relocated from Seattle and joined TraVek Remodeling & Roofing to be part of a premier remodeling company in Scottsdale, embracing the opportunity to bring his expertise to a community known for its vibrant lifestyle and sunny weather. Since 2021, Natalie has been an integral part of leading remodeling projects from start to finish, ensuring a seamless experience for homeowners. With a background in AutoCAD and training from Grand Canyon University, she brings a strong technical foundation and organizational expertise to every project she manages.
Natalie was drawn to TraVek Remodeling & Roofing Remodeling because of its strong company values and the opportunity to be part of a growing, dynamic team. She takes pride in her role as Project Coordinator, where she helps guide projects efficiently while maintaining excellent communication between homeowners, designers, and crews.
Outside of work, Natalie loves spending time with her husband and two boys, one a young teenager and the other following a couple years behind, enjoying the outdoors, golfing, and shopping. She also cherishes time with her parents and family adventures. Wendi began her professional career in the insurance industry, where she spent over a decade with Farmers Insurance in a variety of progressively responsible roles. During her time there, she worked across multiple states and gained extensive experience in customer service, claims processing, policy review, and compliance. Her work required strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer care.
Wendi continued to build her career at BlueCross BlueShield of Arizona, where she held roles as a Customer Service Specialist, Corporate Trainer, and HR Staffing Specialist. In these positions, she managed complex medical claims, trained new employees, supported hiring efforts, and contributed to employee development initiatives.
After stepping away from full-time corporate work to focus on her family, she also assisted with operations for her husband’s construction business, further expanding her exposure to the construction and materials side of the industry.
She later held leadership roles in automotive service and small business management, overseeing scheduling, payroll, vendor coordination, quality control, and daily operations.
Most recently, Wendi has worked as an independent contractor with MK Financial LLC as a ghost writer and educational coach, producing professional content and leading virtual training sessions focused on education and performance.
Wendi joined TraVek Remodeling & Roofing in November of 2025 as the Purchasing Coordinator, drawn to the company’s strong reputation and culture, as well as long-standing personal connections with the leadership team.
In her role, she supports purchasing operations and coordination to ensure projects run efficiently and materials are properly sourced to support quality outcomes for clients.

Refugio is a highly skilled Lead Carpenter at TraVek Remodeling & Roofing, specializing in kitchen and bathroom remodeling. With a wealth of experience in kitchen and bathroom remodeling, carpentry, flooring, cabinet installation and more, Refugio is dedicated to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail in every project.
When he’s not on the job, Refugio enjoys barbequing and exploring new places. Family is a big part of his life—he’s happily married, a proud father of two, and a loving grandfather to 16 grandchildren.
Jordan brings a wealth of experience to TraVek Remodeling & Roofing, with over a decade in the remodeling industry — including five years running his own successful company. His background spans everything from full-scale contracting to project planning and management, making him a versatile asset to our team.
He holds certifications as a window and door installer from both Andersen and Pella, is an NKBA-certified interior designer, and has completed Building Science 101 and 201. Jordan was drawn to TraVek Remodeling & Roofing because of our strong reputation for quality craftsmanship and trusted presence in the Valley.
Outside of work, Jordan enjoys spending time with his family and getting outdoors whenever he can. He's also a musician at heart and loves playing both the guitar and piano. He’s a proud dad to two daughters and a son.
Rodney came to TraVek Remodeling & Roofing in 2016, but has been in construction for most of his life and has a lot of great experience. He started as a sheet metal apprentice for an HVAC company and then transitioned to being an HVAC installer for high-rise offices, power plants, and residential homes. Then, for about 11 years, he worked as a Project Manager/Remodeling Specialist of historic homes, mid-century homes, and new additions.
His daily work as a Handyman consists of the hands-on management of any smaller remodeling or handyman projects.
The part of his work that Rodney enjoys most is meeting new people. He is a people-person, so that’s a highlight for him. He also enjoys the challenge of each job, and the gratification of a happy client once the job is complete to their delight and satisfaction.
In his time away from work, Rodney enjoys spending time with family, traveling and exploring, watching movies, monster trucks, and racing.
Jorge is a master kitchen and bath remodeler, with a specialty in tile work.
In his free time, Jorge spends time with his family, plays sports and goes to car shows.
Christian comes to TraVek Remodeling & Roofing through a partnership between the CPI Foundation (CPI) and TraVek Remodeling & Roofing. CPI is a US military Career Skills and Skill Bridge Program and provides 12–20-week internships for all branches of the US Department of Defense. TraVek Remodeling & Roofing is delighted to partner with the CPI Foundation in this way.
Christian enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and was in Camp Pendleton. During his time there, he has looked after weapons by scheduling and performing organizational and preventive maintenance, supervised and managed 8 Marines to complete daily tasks, and was responsible for supervising and maintaining a $1.4 million weapons system and equipment. For the last four months, he was a military policeman. He has upheld the code of conduct and maintained professionalism in stressful situations.
Before enlisting in the USMC, Christian was a drywall finisher in Phoenix for two years. That experience included many parts of the remodeling process.
Christian came to TraVek Remodeling & Roofing because he has the same sense of pride in doing a job well in the construction industry and wants to be a part of helping both the community and company grow.
In his spare time, Christian enjoys going to the gym, reading daily for 20-30 minutes, soccer, and trying out new things such as golf.
He said his family is a very hard-working family, and he enjoys spending time with them. They’re always looking out for the best for each other and are very supportive.
Damien came to TraVek Remodeling & Roofing with two years of hands-on experience as a Remodeling Assistant and a strong desire to grow in the trades. His journey here started through a family connection—his brother recommended TraVek Remodeling & Roofing as a great place to learn and build a future.
Before construction, Damien was fully committed to a different kind of team: soccer. He trained professionally, played in university, and even had the chance to play at the professional level. That same discipline, focus, and drive now carry over into the remodeling world, where he’s working hard to gain the skills and experience needed to one day become a General Contractor.
Damien comes from a close-knit, hard-working family that values integrity and doing things right—the same values he brings to every job site. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him out on the soccer field, still pursuing the game he loves.
