Kitchen & Bath Remodeler/Lead Carpenter
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing all production aspects of remodeling projects. You will lead a team of carpenters, apprentices, and laborers to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards within budget and timeline. This role requires strong carpentry skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to manage project tasks, schedules, and resources effectively.

COMPETENCIES
- Carpentry Work: Perform skilled carpentry tasks including framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, millwork, and other custom carpentry projects; Utilize hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery to cut, shape, and assemble materials according to project specifications; Ensure accuracy, precision, and attention to detail in all carpentry tasks to achieve high-quality craftsmanship.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of carpenters, apprentices, and laborers; Delegate tasks, assign responsibilities, and provide guidance to ensure efficient workflow and productivity; Train Remodeling Assistants on carpentry techniques, safety protocols, and company procedures.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, designers, and subcontractors to plan and execute carpentry work according to project requirements; Interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications to determine carpentry needs and timelines; Coordinate with other trades to ensure seamless integration of carpentry work with overall project schedule and goals.
- Materials Management: Coordinate materials needed for procurement with suppliers and vendors; Manage inventory of carpentry materials, tools, and equipment to ensure availability and readiness for project requirements; Monitor material usage, waste, and costs to optimize efficiency and minimize expenses.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections of completed carpentry work to ensure compliance with building codes, quality standards, and client expectations; Address any defects, deficiencies, or deviations promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary; Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and cleanliness standards.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment; Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols; Identify and mitigate safety hazards and risks associated with carpentry tasks and job site conditions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute and excel in key performance metrics to include minimum level of performance per TraVek Magnitude of Impact scale, measuring: Billings per week, on schedule, complete jobsite checklist and zero item punch list
- Required weekly/monthly team meetings

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous high end remodeling experience required; high level of experience
- Remodeling certifications preferred
- Ability to read blueprints
- High school diploma
