TraVek Remodeling & Roofing is looking for a talented Remodeling Designer to help transform client ideas into detailed, buildable remodeling plans. This role is ideal for a design professional who enjoys collaborating with homeowners, developing functional layouts, guiding finish selections, and creating clear project documentation that supports a successful build.
As a Remodeling Designer, you will work with clients after the Design Services Agreement is secured to develop the project scope, layout, materials, and overall design direction. You will partner closely with the sales consultant and internal teams to ensure each design is beautiful, realistic, and aligned with budget and construction feasibility. Skills Needed to Be Successful
- Strong space planning and layout skills
- Strong understanding of remodeling design for kitchens, baths, and whole-home projects
- Ability to guide clients through finish and material selections
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to translate client ideas into clear, buildable design solutions

- Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with sales and production teams
- Confidence using design software and preparing project documentation
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with clients after the Design Services Agreement is secured
- Conduct in-depth design consultations to understand project scope, goals, preferences, and priorities
- Develop layout concepts and design solutions that are functional, beautiful, and buildable
- Collaborate with homeowners to refine the overall design vision
- Guide clients through selections for cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, flooring, lighting, and other finish materials
- Ensure design selections align with project budget and overall scope
- Create design drawings and project plans
- Develop detailed scope of work documentation
- Compile material specifications and finish selections for the project
- Collaborate with the sales consultant to present the completed design and project proposal
- Participate in the team close meeting with the client
- Work closely with sales consultants and production teams to support smooth handoffs and realistic execution
- Ensure designs are aligned with construction feasibility and overall project goals

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, or hear, and use hands to finger, feel, and handle objects. Frequent reaching with hands and arms is required. The role may occasionally involve climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Education and Experience Required
- 3+ years of in-home sales experience preferred
- Experience in remodeling, construction, or home services is a plus
- Strong consultative sales and closing skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
- Comfortable discussing budgets and investments
- Self-motivated and performance driven
